Capacitor maker Taiwan Chinsan Electronic Industrial has unveiled plans to lift revenues by at least 70 per cent over the next three years, banking on its strong position to seize opportunities in the automotive, medical equipment and telecommunications sectors.

A newly inaugurated manufacturing facility in Guangzhou will help Chinsan satisfy demand for high-end capacitors, which are integral to many end-products propelling the global hi-tech economy.

“The new factory will bolster our market expansion,” says Dr Peter Chiang, company chairman. “This will supplement our first plant in Guangzhou and strengthen direct market relations. The investment also underscores our commitment to China, our primary growth market, along with the rest of Asia.”

Named in October last year as one of the outstanding entrepreneurs at the prestigious Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards for Taiwan, Chiang spearheaded Chinsan’s transformation into a key industry player with the support of an outstanding management team. Certified by many prominent hi-tech industry giants, Chinsan has established itself as a reputable manufacturer of aluminium electrolytic capacitors and aluminium solid polymer capacitors, backed by more than 45 years of expertise and strong family traditions.

The publicly listed company also has advanced technical support from world-class capacitor manufacturer Hitachi AIC, its joint venture partner in its Guangzhou factories.

“We treat all customers as strategic partners in order to build long-term relations,” Chiang says. ”This same approach is applied with our raw materials suppliers. Long-standing partnerships at both ends of the value chain are central to our competitiveness.”

By consistently providing quality products that are comparable with the products of industry leaders, Chinsan has an expanding global customer base in the consumer electronics, computer and peripherals, and renewable energy industries. As it seeks to serve new markets, the company continuously innovates and, together with its partners, is in the process of commercialising a CIU graphene copper material for next-generation electronics.
